Document Extract: Plainfield High School Upgrades To PLIANT® Technologies After Major Auditorium Renovation. PLAINFIELD, NJ- With the help of PureTek Group, provider of innovative technology solutions for educational spaces based out of Boonton, New Jersey, Plainfield High School recently completed a major renovation to its auditorium, along with the addition of two new spaces - an eSports gaming arena and a black box theater. To provide clear communication between those disparate parts of the school, Plainfield High School, along with PureTek Group, turned to Pliant Technologies' CrewCom professional wireless intercom system. " We chose Pliant to help orchestrate what could be a very chaotic experience ," says Dan Litvin, Co-Founder and President of PureTek Group. " The CrewCom system is used extensively throughout the school and produces unified performance, from standard backstage theatrical production applications, to managing cameras, lighting and audio from room to room at a distance ."

Since the upgrade, the school's intercom system consists of various Pliant solutions, including one CrewCom 2+2 Control Unit (CCU) , three CrewCom 900MHz Radio Transceivers (RTs) , seven CrewCom 900MHz 2-Volume/2-Conference Radio Packs with seven SmartBoom PRO single-ear headsets, along with other accessories, such as Pliant's 6+6 Drop-In Radio Pack and Battery Charger, as well as 48VDC Power Supply cords. At Plainfield High School, the new auditorium and black box theater are directly next to each other, while the eSports arena was constructed out of two adjacent classrooms on the opposite side of the school.

Document Extract: The venue was modernized in collaboration with AVI-SPL, a global leader in audio-visual integration, and acoustical consultant Akustiks. The David Geffen Hall project included an extensive redesign of audio-visual systems, acoustical systems and major infrastructure. AVI-SPL was responsible for the implementation of the PA and distributed audio, cinema systems and LED displays for closed captioning and projection, all supported by robust networking solutions. EAW was chosen for the project by Akustiks' senior consultant Sam Brandt. Having worked with EAW for many years, Akustiks and AVI-SPL knew the brand's ADAPTive technology was ideal for the Wu Tsai Theater at David Geffen Hall.

This partnership not only highlights LightAct's innovative capabilities but also reaffirms its dedication to customer support, development, and lasting relationships within the entertainment industry. For Zhang's tour, Rightway Audio Consultants utilized LightAct's media servers to bring complex and interactive visual content to life, much of it designed in Notch. With integrated NDI 5 streaming, the combined AV system supports smooth, high-definition video content delivery, while Blacktrax tracking technology feeds real-time positional data into LightAct, creating responsive, interactive visuals that dynamically follow Zhang's movements on stage. Zengxin Liu, the lead LightAct programmer from Rightway Audio Consultants, shared his thoughts on the collaboration: "It is really gratifying to see how quickly LightAct team implements features based on our suggestions and how fast LightAct software reached standards of quality required in live events like this one ."
